Burlington area women are choosing Foundation PT

Pelvic floor physical therapy at Foundation PT is different. We spend more time providing you with hands on, manual therapy to get to the root cause of your struggles, and less time handing out pre-made sheets full of endless exercises. You get a personalized plan that is exactly what you can handle. And if it's too much (because let's face it, mom life is hard), we work with you to find the best treatment plan for you and your lifestyle.

You can rest assured that you are in knowledgeable hands and will work with a Doctor of Physical Therapy who has extensive training in pelvic floor treatment for pregnant and postpartum women.

And the best part? We are located right in the heart of Waukesha and the amazing community here.

Proudly serving Waukesha County and surrounding communities

"The exercises have helped SO MUCH... This is the best I've felt in all 3 pregnancies and I'm definitely the most active in this pregnancy too. You are a MIRACLE WORKER... I'm honestly sad I didn't seek PT in my other pregnancies because apparently I didn't have to suffer all that time."

Pelvic Floor PT FAQ

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions we get about pelvic floor physical therapy.

How soon postpartum should I start pelvic floor therapy?

We recommend having your first visit within the first 2-3 weeks postpartum so we can take advantage of the massive amount of healing your body is doing. We are happy to see you sooner as well, but we know that's not feasible for everyone.

Can I do pelvic floor PT during pregnancy?

Absolutely, and we highly encourage it! Even if you aren't having pain or other problems, pelvic floor therapy can help prevent the development of pain conditions, prep you for birth, and help baby find the best possible position for delivery.

What if I'm on my period during my appointment?

It's honestly not a big deal for your therapist. We take standard precautions for all patients, so encountering blood doesn't phase us. And if it really weirds you out, we can keep it all external.
